Tatarstan’s delegation is in Iran to further boost ties with the Islamic Republic, Minnikhanov said in a conference on exploring business and investment opportunities in Isfahan and Tatarstan which was convened on Thursday in Iran’s central city of Isfahan.
“We seek to make the bilateral relations closer and friendlier,” he underlined.
Iran and Tatarstan enjoy constructive cooperation, he said, calling for further reinforcing mutual ties.
The Iranian president Ebrahim Raisi received the visiting President of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov and his accompanying delegation in Tehran on Wednesday.
During the meeting, Raisi said that Iran is ready for the expansion of economic relations with all republics of the Russian Federation, including the Muslim-majority Tatarstan.
